72nd Republic Day Celebrations

Gathering at PUB (Project Uppal Bagayath)

This republic day sets out to be the most remarkable occasion as our iFocus soldiers have gathered for the very first time after the pandemic to celebrate the National festival at our new premises, that is under construction at Uppal. The gathering was headed by Sri.Vasudeva Sarma, Chief Coordinator of iFocus Mission. Many iFocus Premiers – Sri P. Maruthi Kiran, Sri S.B.Ram, Sri Dakshin Murthy, Sri Sahadev Komaragiri, Sri Jagan Mohan, Sri B.S.Rao, Sri Rajnikanth, Sri Srihari, Sri Ravi Shankar Nanduri, Sri Phani Pavan, Sri Vasu Chinta, Sri Dubai Balaraju, Smt. Indira Pothula & Sri Subramanyam graced the event. The occasion saw the active participation of Joint Secretaries, Brigadiers, and BalaVikas kids.

The celebrations began with a Jyothi Prajwalana ceremony and Bharata Maatha pooja by sheores. The pride moment in the occasion was the flag hoisting by our BalaVikas kids who are the future citizens. It was then followed by the National Anthem and a welcome song by Mr. Abhishek, a young talented singer.

As part of the celebrations, Sri Vasudeva Sarma, delivered a speech signifying the importance of Constitution, Citizenship, and Oneness among the citizens. He mentioned that every citizen must overcome the fear of survival to gain basic constitutional awareness and get equipped to leverage opportunities and face challenges as a society. He added that on Republic Day in 1950, we as a Nation defined how to rule ourselves after attaining Independence in 1947. He also stressed that empowered and responsible citizens can alone condemn corruption and turn politicians into public servants by bringing out their positive qualities. Hence, he asked everyone to evolve as citizens and not merely become voters in the Nation. He concluded his talk by sharing Sadhguru Sivananda Murthy Garu’s participation in the Freedom Movement and how he travelled to Pakistan all the way long before the India-Pakistan Partition to get awareness about the crisis prevailing in those days.

Then, we had a speech by Sri Rajanikanth Errabelly, from Social Post, who mentioned the Great Protection that our Constitution is offering to a citizen of our country in all aspects on the social front. He said that every student should be given knowledge about the Constitution as it would imbibe discipline in society. He also laid importance on imparting the culture and value system in today’s youth and students.

The gatherings at iFocus can’t end without Roadshows. And here we performed a ‘Bharateeyatha Yatra’ concluding the event. Our Premiers, Joint Secretaries, Brigadiers, and Soldiers actively participated in the roadshow carrying the placards showcasing the patriotic slogans.

“Patriotism is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.”This phrase rightly describes the iFocus Soldiers, as ‘Bharateeyatha’ is one of the guiding principles of iFocus Mission.

Virtual celebrations on Zoom Platform

iFocus Mission has spread across the globe by leaps and bounds with the Virtual Connection in this Pandemic. We met beautiful people, had wonderful conversations, and made heartfelt relations only because of this Virtual Journey. It was time again for all of us to celebrate our National festival on the Zoom platform expanding India’s magnificence across the countries virtually. The virtual celebrations were kick-started with the flag hoisting ceremony by Sri Pavan Sribhasyam and their family at their place in the USA.

The celebrations soon got momentum as our very own, Sri. Vasudeva Sarma sir addressed the gathering with his insightful words. He spoke about the impact of the brigadier journey influencing Character Building, Maintenance of Healthy Relations, and Transformation of Lives that every iFocus soldier can relate to. He stated that we all started understanding ourselves at a deeper level and gained a grip on our lives because of the very journey. He pointed out that we all picked up our vocabulary, thought process, common sense, sensibility, and spiritual bent of mind only because of our association with the Mission. He then redefined NRI as ‘New Resident Indians’ and said that Indians settled outside India to expand India beyond the geographical boundaries. He asked every iFocus soldier to take leverage of the power circle present here and evolve vivaciously in fields of careers and lifestyle for our professional and personal growth respectively. He also mentioned that nothing takes the place of consistency in life and quoted a sloka explaining how an individual learns in life.

The following is the sloka stated by him:

Meaning: One gains ¼ of the knowledge from the Acharya (the teacher), ¼ from his self-study and intellect, ¼ from his classmates, and the remaining ¼ is gained as a person becomes matured with time.

He concluded by stating that every individual must develop Drusthi, Dheerga Drusthi, and Sudheerga Drushi to acquire great concentration and faith that will turn simple and ordinary things into exceptional and extraordinary things. He also asked iFocus Soldiers to practice humble, confident, and cheerful discipline and collaborate with fellow citizens to bring in the synergy for building our Nation into a more robust country. Continuing the celebrations, there was a musical instrument performance by Suhruth who played our national anthem on piano. The melodious start was followed by the Pledge recited by Major Madhukar that filled the electrifying and energetic vibrations in the celebrations. Then the occasion witnessed some soothing and beautiful singing performances from Sahithi, Vaishnavi, and Uma rani.

Every Indian must know about the history and prominence of flag hoisting. We had Lakshmi Prasanna Garu to educate us regarding the same. We all agree that the iFocus journey is transformational and phenomenal. To display the very concept, our iFocus soldiers came up with a skit that was enacted by Devika Sruthi, Rajesh, Siva Sai, Swapna, and Sathwika. Our BalaVikas kids stood out on the occasion with their lovely artworks on patriotism. We even saw a few more art displays from Radhika and Durga. No occasion can end without dance performances. Right from kids to adults, everyone eagerly awaits to watch the performances and enjoy them, especially on these special occasions. Our sheroes – Ramya, Pratyusha, Niharika, and Sameeksha, gave a fabulous performance and added a lively vibe to the gathering. Our gathering cannot end without wonderful and thought-provoking power responses from our premiers. Here are few such power responses.

The celebrations came to an end with our Brigadier Praneeth, reciting the Mission Declaration with full spirit and zeal.

The members of iFocus Mission exhibited the true spirit of the National festival by coming together and celebrating the day unitedly proclaiming the glory of the Nation on this 72nd Republic Day.
