‘Super Sunday’ ~ 06th May 2012

Theme: Fundamental Leadership

This Super Sunday was wonderfully organized by new batch members of March & April 2012, with the support of brigadiers and other mission members. The anchors, Venu and Supraja, did an excellent job and grabbed the attention of the entire group with their words filled with full of energy and fun. With a short span of preparation, they did their best, just because of their positive attitude.

The session started with the powerful responses of the members. The interactions were heart touching and highly motivating. The case of Chi. Anirudh stands apart. It was great when he said, “he was referred by himself”.

Directors of the mission, Sri Ravi Chandra and Sri Shekar have shared valuable inputs from their careers, lifestyles, and experiences at iFocus to the audience. The announcement of Sri Hayagreeva Murthy Garu about the involvement of iFocus Mission in TTD’s summer camps for the youth in six locations of Andhra Pradesh is highly appreciated by one and all. It shows the enormous opportunities that lie ahead before this unique mission.

Our chief mentor “Sri Vasudeva Sarma” garu gave a valuable speech on the theme “Fundamental Leadership”. Fundamental qualities of leadership mentioned by our Sir were:

  • Understand and help the people around.
  • Come out of the comfort zones and to do our best to the society.
  • Enlighten our children to the reality of life rather than pampering them and limiting to comfort zones.
  • Practice the great quality – “Patience”.
  • Understand the true meaning and message of India i.e “Mythree Bhajata” – Unconditional Friendship to the world.
  • Thinking about what we can give to society and to our nation at large.

On that day it was the auspicious Vaisakha Pournami, the birthday of Sri Sri Sri Chandra Sekarendra Saraswati Mahaswami of Kanchi peetham. A brief biography of Jagadhguru was discussed by mentioning the leadership angle of the legend. By practicing great qualities such as strict discipline, patience, and living for others, Swamiji evolved as Jagadguru, a walking God. Our country gave birth to so many gurus, who proved that “If you conquer yourself, you can conquer the whole world”.

Finally it was a wonderful experience with great take aways for all the members to evolve as leaders.
